The In-Wall Cord & Power Kit from Legrand was a fun Do It Yourself Project. It was simple to install, easy to follow directions and we finished in less than an hour from start to finish. My son has a television on his wall and the wires do not look nice hanging down. I always assumed it would be so hard to do. When I read the directions I said to myself we can do this.
Whenever I see a television on the wall and no wires showing I have always said I wish I knew how to do it. I didn't even know they had kits. This kit can be used on any size TV that has a plug size of 1.13". The Kit that can be purchased at Best Buy supplied everything needed to do the install.
I really enjoyed and learned how to do the install by watching the video. I had a better understanding of what exactly to do. You can check out the video here:

Legrand In-Wall Kit
Kit provides:
- Power grommets, 54" power harness, 6' power cord, fish tape
- Hole saw, hole saw handle
The best feature is of course not to see the any cords or wires. The grommets are made from thick heavy duty plastic that look fabulous in the wall. You can take them out easily and use the fish tape (the extensions to put inside the wall to easy bring the cords down or up) to add new wires if necessary. My son wants to add a Blue Ray player so I will always save the fish tape to put it through the holes and add the additional wire easily.

As You can see Joe did the installation and I read the directions. I think it is a perfect project for two people to do together. Even if you are a novice in the DIY department this project is easily done if you read the instructions.
I look forward to adding more of the Legrand Kits to my home. Next room my bedroom that also has the wires hanging down from the TV !!

ReplyDeleteWE just used a similar product in our new home when setting up our TV's and it was easy enough. So much better looking having the cords behind the wall
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great product that will make life easier and your home look waaaay better! wires are so ugly and kinda dangerous!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I had no idea that such a thing existed, but that's great that it's so easy to do. I like that it hides the wires so well - never fun to see those hanging down!

ReplyDeleteOh wow! This turned out great! I love that you can't see those unsightly wires! I would be so worried I would drill into a main power cord or something tho (and with my luck, I totally would!) lol
ReplyDeleteThe in wall power cord kit looks like the perfect way to make cables disappear and hide! What a handy mechanism that is !

This has also been my minor problem while watching TV, it just doesn’t look right having wires all crapped up. This is one easy fix, and installing it looks pretty easy.
ReplyDeleteI don't like dangling wires so this could be the solution to my problem. I like the idea of hidding all the cords behind the wall. Looks more neat and more TV time.
ReplyDeleteThis is the solution I've been looking for!! I'm going to find this out where I stay! Thanks for sharing!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so great. These cords pose a threat at home when the kids keep pulling them. Loved this.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I were just talking about wanting to get those moved. They make it look so cluttered in the front room.
ReplyDeleteI love that there are always room for innovations. Now, we can no longer worry of the scattered wires with this kind of cords for our appliances such as our TVs. - ANOSA MALANGA
