This uses the battery power from your phone and the case battery is a backup that lasts up to 12 hours !! Technology is amazing and everything seems to get better and better. I love the kickstand it holds up the phone very easily. It is a heavier case than the slimmer ones. It does offer more protection if your phone falls.
It has 3 LED indicator lights that lets you know how much battery is left. It has the battery power of 2200mAh and that is what small portable chargers offer.
