International celebrations begin at 10am ET in Tokyo and continue throughout the day in locations including Ireland, Jamaica and Brazil. Celebrations kick off in the U.S. at 6pm ET from Times Square with live 4K streaming video. Viewers will be transported to the “Crossroads of the World” with high resolution video and HD panoramas from over 10 different cameras with 26 angles. This year is the introduction of EarthCam’s exclusive Times Square Special, a programmed lineup of live cameras showcasing the stage performances, ball drop and fireworks.
WHY: The special will enable viewers to feel like they’re actually in the center of it all, along with the one million people celebrating in the heart of New York City. EarthCam is proud to share this intriguing perspective of the most popular destination in the world, which has been viewed on more than 127 million times over the last 5 years.
