As we have always heard that fish oil is good for us taken in moderation, it is also good for our little furry friends. I have two small dogs and my Shih Tzu Teddy has a very coarse coat of hair. I have been using the fish oil mixing it with their wet food once daily. I think it might be a little to soon to tell a difference. I do see slightly that his coat is a little softer. He also has a problem vomiting his food because he eats to fast. I had to start spoon feeding him. Since I have been giving him the fish oil in his food I slowly started to stop spoon feeding him. He has not vomited his food in a few weeks now. I am not 100 % sure it is because of the fish oil but I do believe it is helping.
My little Yorkie is now 11 and I want her to remain as healthy as she can be. Adding fish oil to her diet can only help her. It will help her with her joints and hopefully remain healthy.
